Louis Armstrong might not care but as horse owners and competitors WE DO! To rug or not to rug! Will the ground be too soft/hard! Is it worth getting drenched just to get out and about! Is it too hot to travel a horse that far! Questions questions
Well hopefully we can help provide the info to answer some of those queries. In conjunction with weather.com we have now added a FIVE day weather forecast to events on horsevents.co.uk and also to every Organiser's landing page (that is also a venue)
We have added this as we felt the weather can play a large factor in deciding whether to compete or which day to go schooling or what clothing to take/wear. Every little helps in making that tough horsey decisions.
Each day's forecast includes a minimum and maximum temperature for the venue's location, the sunrise and sunset, maximum wind speed, a weather description and the Chance of rain.
Enjoy the weather!
Whilst we were augmenting the event details information with the weather forecast we have also amended how the Class closing data/time is displayed. Instead of now actually displaying the closing date and time, which was getting confused with the event date and, was sometimes difficult to actually figure out how long it is until a class closes, we will now be displaying how long until the class closes.
This display is in red to make it easier to spot and will use plain text to explain how long, so you will see things like Today, Tomorrow, In 5 minutes! We are hoping this will prove much easier to spot when your favourite event is due to close.
Should you wish to provide any feedback about either the weather forecasting or the change of closing date/time display please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Happy Summer Riding!
